My Favorite Time of Day...

Thank you cousin Gabby for loaning me the outfit I'm wearing, AND teaching my mom about putting more than one paci in my bed! One in my mouth and one in my hand...just in case! :)

I love that she's learned to find her own paci!!! :) Now if she'd only start doing it herself at 3 in the morning and we'd be sittin' pretty...

The next door neighbors got a new puppy...let's just say that his bark sounds like someone strangling a seagull. Lovely.

Busy Busy Busy...

I have just been so busy in the past few weeks that I have neglected my blog! (Not the first time...or the last, I suppose...) Last week I spent my time preparing myself for the baby shower we had here for my sister Christy. It was so much fun! Now I'm getting ready to throw her another one in a few weeks...the last one was dinosaur themed...I think this time I'll use camoflage! I really am enjoying thinking about a boy baby! :) **DON'T GET ANY IDEAS, PEOPLE...THERE WILL BE NO BABIES FOR TODD AND JESSICA ANY TIME SOON!!**

This week I'm spending my time preparing for the YL Golf Tournament. We have a presentation to do (that I just found out about) and also will have a table full of pics of houses Todd has done. I'll have to post some of these pictures...Todd does really good work! Please pray for the tournament tomorrow...we really need it to be successful!

Lastly, I've been taking care of my big girl Hailey. I say this because she's getting SO BIG!! She's got this silly personality, growls all the time, and is just developing before our very eyes. AND she's become a total daddy's girl! Every time Todd walks into the room, he gets the biggest smiles and giggles...then when he walks out of the room, she cries like the sky is falling! It's so sweet...

Oh, my...

Ummm...if anyone watches "The Soup" on the E! channel, I am very certain that what I just saw will be on this Friday's new episode. Let me fill you in...




I'll admit...I've gotten myself hooked on America's Got Talent...mostly after I saw "Boy Shakira" perform in one of the early episodes...



Tonight made every countless hour I've wasted on this show worth it...the performance by "The Hoff" aka David Hasselhoff!! He is the most embarassing performer I've ever seen, but tonight took the cake. I got a little sick to my stomach, to be honest. P.S. I'm not watching this show ever again, because the million dollar winner was a ventriloquist.

I finally finished Hailey's photo collage...I think it turned out so cute! :) It's hard to see in the picture, so you'll have to come over to see it for yourself...

Why do I bother?

Buying all the toys when all she wants to do is play with this?? I mean, a laundry basket? She's been in this basket for the past several days... :)

Hailey's New Toy...

Look what Todd bought for Hailey this weekend! :) It's a 2006 Moomba LSV with only 15 hours on it! It's practically brand new...he got it from a guy in California who bought it brand new last May and just never used it. He left our house with my dad in the passenger seat at 4 in the morning yesterday, and got home today at 10:30 in the morning...they took turns driving and sleeping all night long!! (P.S. They're nuts...)

We're so excited to take this thing out on the water, but it's gotta quit raining first! :)

My Favorite Things...

Since Oprah gets to do a show about her "Favorite Things", I decided I could blog about mine...as a mom, I've found several items that were created to make my life easier...here's what I've found:

Senseo Coffee Maker:

This little beauty makes a WONDERFUL cup of coffee in about 90 seconds. Let's be honest...what new mom doesn't need a nice caffeine jolt once in a while?!? And it's actually really good coffee!

Baby Einstein:

I know that there's been some controversy as of late as to whether or not this is really "good" for the child, but for the mother this collection of videos provides 30 minutes of entertainment for your baby so you can get a shower, make some lunch, switch and fold the laundry, etc. Wonderful invention, people...just wonderful.

Diaper Genie II:

Now that Hailey has started eating solids, I truly have grown to appreciate the effectiveness of the Diaper Genie II. It's easy to use, and provides a barrier against the "scent of a baby", if you will...AND I've got Todd trained to empty it every few days!! What could be better??

The beauty of online shopping, of course, is that you can do it in minutes from the comfort of your own couch! AND if you check the clearance section, you can seriously get cute stuff for 2 or 3 bucks!?! I think I check for new deals almost every day!! (And my daughter's closet can attest to that.)

Well, that's all I've got for now...and sadly, no...I will not be giving you all of these items to take home. I'm not Oprah.

6 Months Stats...

Weight: 14lbs, 10oz (25th Percentile)

Length: 25 1/2 inches (50th Percentile)

Sleep: I take 3 (or so) naps a day and sleep 10 (or so) hours at night!

I eat: 6 - 4 oz bottles a day and two meals of cereal, fruit and veggies.

So far, I like applesauce, sweet potatoes, bananas, peaches, and green beans!

Skills: Rolling over, sitting up, eating my toes, laughing, growling, and I can get into "crawling position".

I recognize my mommy and daddy, and sometimes I cry when my daddy leaves the room. I really love my daddy...

My mommy says I'm growing like a weed! Thanks for everyone who prayed for me while I was sick...my doctor says I'm very healthy and growing perfectly. :)

Daddy's Girl...

My daddy and I spent the morning together and had such a good time. I love my daddy so much...he likes to snuggle with me, kiss my face, and play with my toys!

After our fun morning, I was pooped, so daddy and I took a nap! :)

Mommy ALWAYS Wins!!

If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times...Mommy always wins!!



If you don't stop scratching your face, Mommy is going to keep putting socks on your hands... :)
