Tummy Time
Here's a little video of Owen doing some tummy time. It's fairly anti-climactic, but I get to think this stuff is entertaining 'cuz I'm the mom. :)

Another Little One in Jesus' Arms...
My heart is sad and heavy.
I found out this morning that my friend's little boy went to be with Jesus...she was less than 2 weeks away from delivery. I can not imagine.
We have no clue why our good God allows such horrible things to happen, but we do know this - He is always good, He is nearest to us when we're hurting, and His love for us never changes.
Say a prayer for my friend today if you think of it.

Two Weeks...
We have officially been a family of 4 for two weeks, and it suits us just great! :) Here are some random pics I thought I'd share...
Peonies...my new FAVE flower!! A very sweet gal from church brought dinner this week and also brought us these beauties that I can only assume came from her yard!! They are just beautiful and make me happy every time I look at them! (hint, hint Todd! :)

Owen is thus far the world's best sleeper!! He and I can be found like this A LOT...
He also seems to really like his play mat! His eyes bug out of his head and just race around looking at everything...
Well, other than being spoiled rotten by our church with delicious meals, me surviving several long stretches with the two kids by myself, and a couple of miraculous occasions of getting out the door on time for things, I think this about sums up our last couple of weeks. :)

My sad heart...
I just heard news from my friend that her niece will be going home to be with Jesus sometime today...just after she was born just a few weeks ago she began having some pretty major seizures. The doctors also wondered about some chromosomal abnormalities, but those were ruled out. After extensive testing they've determined that these seizures are coming every 2 minutes or so and that between seizures there's almost no brain activity. She's been on life support this whole time, but will be taken off sometime today. This was quite a shock to her family since none of these issues were found before she was born...she is a twin and often times they have trouble getting accurate pictures of both babies on ultrasound.
Please pray for this family today, if you think of it. I can not imagine how they're handling all of this, but so thankful for God's promise to give us what we need to walk through what He asks us to walk through...

Daddy/Daughter Pool Time...
In theory, Hailey LOVES being in the pool...but when she actually gets in with Todd she holds on for dear life like some sort of monkey!?! She spends a lot of time screaming and saying, "Daddy, Don't!!" when he tries to get her to try to kick in the water and such. Todd, of course, is a total guy about it and only tries harder to get her to swim when she screams about it. :)
Todd's mission for the summer: teaching Hailey-bugs how to swim!
Best of luck, Toddler... :)

Our First Days at Home...
She also (as you can see) loves his car seat...
We've been so blessed by the outpouring of love from everyone lately! We've had lots of visitors, help, and sweet well-wishes...all of us feel so loved.
