Uncle Mikey Santa

Bridget has inspired me to post Hailey's first pictures with Santa...this is Uncle Mikey Santa at the YL Christmas club. At first she didn't know what to think, but she did okay...

Then we tried for a family pic and she wasn't too excited about that. :)
We'll have to see how she does when we take her for real santa pics...stay tuned... :)

Good Morning! :)

I love my mornings with Hailey...she's always so happy and we have such special Mommy/Baby Girl bonding time. She's such a ham...I don't know where she gets it?!?
I'm not sure what this face is, but it's sure funny. :)
She just started waving...so cute :) Here's Hailey trying to take a step! She just fell on her knees, but bravo for trying! :)
This girl LOVES to laugh...

I am so thankful that I'm able to be home with her every morning!

Todd thinks I'm crazy when I get wrapped up in the sorrow of someone I don't know, but I believe that the body of Christ is designed to walk through things together. My friend Jessica Andrews made me aware of this couple who's baby girl Evie was born with a serious heart defect. I learned this morning that she has gone to be with Jesus, and my heart hurts for them. I thought that I might plead with those who read my blog to pray for her parents, Matt & Nicole. I can't imagine burying my tiny baby, but hope that they are comforted in knowing that their sweet girl is no longer sick and in the arms of Jesus...

So, we pull into the parking lot at the Olive Garden for our date night tonight, and we park right next to a Delorian. Todd went crazy... Todd: Babe, do you know what that is? It's a Delorian! Oh, that's so sweet...I'd love to have one of those one day!

Jess: Todd, that isn't all that cool...unless, of course, it actually takes you back to the future...

Todd: It does if it gets up to 88 miles per hour...1.21 GIGGAWATS!!!

Jess: Okay, Todd...stop yelling...we're walking into the restaurant.

Todd: 1.21 GIGGAWATS!!!

Jess: Oh, brother...

(After a lovely time at the Olive Garden, we walk out to the car and guess what's still in the parking lot...)

Todd: I'm gonna leave that guy a note and tell him that I'll buy that car from him for any price he wants!

Jess: Oh, good grief...you need another car like you need a hole in the head, Todd.

Todd: (while driving AND staring at the Delorian) It's made entirely of aluminum...so it's light enough to go 88 miles per hour...1.21 GIGGAWATS!!!

10 months old...

In the spirit of the holidays I got her some festive jammies... Here's a close up of the bootie-flap! :)
I think she's been having some growth spurts recently. I put her in her crib with some toys and in less than 10 minutes she'd fallen asleep with the light on!
Here's a very blurry picture (stupid camera) of her new mad face...she wrinkles up her nose and sort of snorts...it's so funny!
Hmmm...another mad face...I'm sensing a trend... :)
Here's her new hat I got her from the dollar section at Target. That place is a gold-mine!

We had our first (and last) experience with Hailey licking the beaters after I made frosting for sugar cookies...

hailey and quinton...

Auntie Steph & Uncle Mike came over tonight and brought Steph's brother Josh and her nephew Quinton. He is almost 3...he and Hailey had so much fun playing together while watching Meet the Robinsons. :)
I told Quinton about my shoe fetish and he thought Hailey's shoes might fit me... :)
Hailey has no attention span, so eventually she got bored with the movie...

All in all, a very fun evening. Come over again, guys!! :)
