more birthday fun...

Please bear with me...I'm a first-time mom, so I took a BILLION pictures today and can't decide which ones I like best, so I posted almost all of them... :)

Here's Hailey waking up to her new kitchen...so cute! Hailey and Mommy had a special breakfast of pancakes and fruit snacks!! (Don't judge me...I needed to keep her quiet with the fruit snacks so I could make the pancakes!! :)
Birthday lunch at Red Robin was a hit...she LOVED it when they sang and clapped for her...she also LOVED her sundae... :)
Here's the birthday girl trying on her new apron...you know, so she can cook in her kitchen!! Rachael Ray, watch your back...there's a new cook in town... :) And here's when Grandma Patty brought all of her gifts over to open...she got a basketball hoop (her dad is ecstatic), some new bath toys, a cd with fun praise music, a cute book about sea turtles (from Hawaii), and many other treasures...she's not spoiled or anything, though!?! :)

Well, we hope you had a great first birthday, Hailey Lynn...we love you!

happy birthday, christy!!!

Here is Christy just one year ago...notice how tan and rested she looks! Those were the days... And here she is now...supermom!! A little less sleep, a little less time for herself in the sun, but one happy girl! :) So much can happen in a year...
Christy, here's where I'll get sappy...let's pause for a tissue run, shall we? Okay...here goes...

You are beautiful, strong, and an inspiration to me. You've become such a great mom as you're learning even better how to lean on the Lord for everything you need, and that is beautiful.

Sunday morning fun...

Todd and I decided Saturday night that we really need to start going to the 9 am service at church...it's the best time for Hailey since she needs a nap right around 11 or so. Anyone with kids knows it's tough to get up and have yourself and your kid ready to be anywhere by 9 am!! This Sunday morning was no exception, but I'm proud to say that we got to church, Hailey checked into the nursery and in our seats by just after 9 am!! (Cut us some slack...sometimes we didn't get to 11 o'clock service until 11:30!!)


Hailey loved her cute church dress, but since there was velcro on her shoes she wouldn't stop taking them off! Oh, the life of a kid...when playing with your shoes is entertainment!! :)
